Today over fifty percent of the U.S. adult population is single--the largest percentage in American history. But despite their majority, single adults are more often considered the exception than the norm. In the thought-provoking introduction to her new book of meditations on the single life, Debra Farrington explains that our society-and particularly the church-pays too little attention to the prevalence of singles.
